City of Warrenton

Steeped in American frontier history, Warrenton is the true end of the Lewis and Clark trail. At a growing 4500 population, Warrenton is located across Young's Bay where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean.

Although a small population, Warrenton is the fourth largest city in Oregon by land mass. The city approximately seventeen square miles are home to over 400 businesses and the historic Fort Stevens.

Warrenton has several commercial areas within the downtown, airport, U.S. Highway 101, and Hammond Marina areas. Fishing, lumber, agriculture and food are the primary products of over 14 manufacturing businesses that call Warrenton home. Any company, whether for profit or not for profit, working within the city limits of Warrenton is required to have a valid business license.

Anyone who obtains a City of Warrenton business license automatically becomes a member of the Warrenton Business Association.

The fees start at  $60 base fee + $5 per employee. If applying after January 1, base fee is $30. Business licenses are valid from July 1st through June 30th of each year.

It is strongly advised that every business license applicant check with the Warrenton Planning Department prior to submitting the business license application to confirm that the proper zoning, off street parking, and other City Code requirements have been met.
